Steiger
Engine
One engine size does not fit all. Neither do two. Steiger tractors offer three engine sizes, a Compound Turbo for better fuel economy and industry-leading power growth. It's easy to see how Steiger can pull your business forward.
-
Compound Turbo
The Compound Turbo on the Steiger 485 enhances horsepower while increasing fuel efficiency by approximately three percent. Compound Turbo transfers energy from the conventional turbo to the engine's crankshaft, creating approximately an extra 12 hp to help handle even the most demanding jobs.
-
Cube Size
The cube size of the engine matches the horsepower of the tractor. Deere only has two versus Steiger tractor's three.
-
Torque Rise
Steiger tractors feature the industry's best torque rise – up to 40% and power growth, up to 54 hp
-
Cross Flow
Steiger tractor's cross flow head advantage in Steiger tractors provides a cooler, smoother air flow, not to mention better coolant circulation for a longer engine life.
-
B100 Approved
Now you can use environmentally friendly biodiesel, up to B100* in new Steiger tractors, while Deere tractors are only approved to use B20. Rigorous laboratory and in-field tests have verified top Steiger engine performance with B100 biodiesel. It's another key Steiger advantage.
